So, welcome to another episode of what would Charlotte do? And today I am going to talk about a question that I’m asked a lot. It’s probably going to resonate with you as well. That’s around, How Can You Afford Support?
So, when you enter a business, it can be really really overwhelming
There’s so much to do, and everything rests on your shoulders, and ultimately we all get to a point where we need to have some support. Even if we are intending to be a one-man, woman band.
We still need to have some form of support, in order to make sure that we are delivering everything that we are setting out to deliver. And part of that is around, hiring, your perfect support person, which will be when you’re hiring support it really needs to make sure that is the right time for you to have support.
And one of the ways to do that is when you have scalable business systems in place
Because you’re able to say, where you’re going to need that support so where you are failing that you’re coming under strain and you need a bit more support in order to go forwards.
So, when you’ve got your scalable business systems in place, it enables you to look at your consistency. So then, your metrics that you’re tracking are consistent and they’re accurate, so you can see what’s working and what’s not working because last thing you want to be doing is paying for a support pro to do stuff that isn’t bringing you any return on your business.
Making sure that you can see what’s going on what’s working is really really paramount
And it also enables you to see what you can automate. This again is a really big thing because a lot of the time when you aren’t automating everything.
It’s a really big thing because a lot of the time when you aren’t automating anything and you’re getting your support pro to do it. If you’re paying for the hourly rate which a lot of people do. It means that you’re going to be paying a lot more than what you need to be paying. So, once you automate the majority if not all of a process.
It means that what you’re going to get your support pro working on is going to be things that I can’t be automated. And B is going to drive your business forwards.
Because usually the mundane regular reoccurring stuff can be automated to some extent
So, the one way that you can make sure that you can afford to have a support person in place. Is to make sure that you have your scalable business systems in place. And I hope that’s helped answer How Can You Afford Support? If you have got any questions that you would like me to answer, do send me a message, and I will do my best to do that for you.
